Outside and In

"The weather outside is frightful"......

Yesterday it was dank and dreary and monochrome.

It threatened snow at the dog park

and was plain dull walking home.

The dog sat in my armchair looking fed up.

In the afternoon it did start to snow

and was vile to go out in

though somewhat picturesque.

So it was bliss to go to Frances' house for tea and admire her decorations

eat yummy Mexican wedding cakes

and delight in red berries.

Updates:

Go to Cait O'Connor's thoughtful blog for a very kind review of my novel A Fortunate Child. I'm glowing.

Looks very cosy at your friend's house, just the thing after your walk. The weather does look a bit chilly...

Elizabeth, it was such fun seeing you on Boxing Day. I think it was you who brought the special glow to afternoon tea!

Looks like we are having the same weather. Constant lashings of rain and very dark and dismal.

Elizabeth, I SO enjoy your photos. I am not on IG (or blogs) much any more, and I miss them. I sort of live vicariously in NYC through them.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. May your spirit expand and soar in 2013. Our little babies will grow so much in the next year, won't they?
